Associate Director, Patient Marketing

Cambridge, MA / Remote

The Company:

The Role:

Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, the Associate Director, Patient Marketing will be responsible for developing and implementing patient branded educational / promotional strategies and tactics within the rare metastatic lung cancer space. You will play a critical role in shaping the perception of the company and its first two brands in the lung cancer community.  Working with other key functions, you will be an integral part of meeting the needs of patients and supporting their treatment journey.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the development of patient branded educational / promotional strategies and tactics for zidesamtinib and neladalkib.
  • Lead development of branded patient campaign and messaging, consistent with aligned Positioning / Branding.
  • Partner with other functions (e.g., Patient Advocacy, Insights & Analytics, Brand Strategy) to identify / fill critical insight gaps, synthesize findings, and make insight-backed recommendations for patient engagement strategies, messaging, and tactical plans / execution.
  • Collaborate with Digital Marketing and Patient Advocacy to develop a comprehensive, multi-channel patient Marketing tactical plan, budget, and performance measurement plan.
  • Ensure launch readiness of patient-related projects and workstreams.
  • Support Market Access team and Patient Advocacy to develop patient HUB services, support programs, and HUB branding and education.
  • Collaborate on patient adherence and persistency strategies as appropriate.
  • Oversee agency relationships, focusing on partnerships with their Account, Strategy, Project Management, Creative, Measurement, Digital, and Media. Work closely with Legal and Compliance on promotional material review and patient engagement strategies.
  • Responsibly manage tactical budget over the course of the year, reallocating / optimizing as necessary and aligning on proposed changes with Brand Lead and Brand Strategy.
  • Longitudinally evaluate performance of tactics based on KPIs and adjust execution as necessary.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Teams / Zoom; proficiency with Veeva PromoMats preferred.

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years biopharma experience including oncology launch and oncology patient marketing experience in the US
  • Highly experienced in patient branded tactics, creative campaigns, market research (including testing of messages / promotional materials), message development, and tactical planning
  • Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize projects effectively and communicate at all levels within the company
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (including presentation skills)
  • Ability to articulate complex scientific and medical information in understandable business terms
  • Up to 20% domestic travel
